How to Clone a Quote

When several quotes need mostly the same details, cloning an existing one is faster than building each from scratch.

What carries over

A cloned quote starts with every field from the original, including custom fields. Once the clone is saved, the original quote’s products copy over too, and the clone is associated with the same opportunity as the original. PDFs attached to the original quote do not carry over.

Cloning from an Opportunity record

1. Open the Opportunity that contains the quote you want to clone.
2. Go to the Related tab and find the Quotes section.
3. Click the three-dot menu on the quote and select Clone this Quote.
4. Edit the prepopulated fields in the Add New Quote popup as needed, then click Save.

The cloned quote opens, and also appears in the Quotes section of the same opportunity’s Related tab.

Cloning from a Quote record

1. Open the Quotes object and find the quote you want to clone.
2. Use the three-dot menu in the list view, or Clone this Quote under Actions from within the quote record.
3. Edit the prepopulated fields in the Add New Quote popup as needed, then click Save.
