How to create and use an image custom field

Add images to records using an image custom field.

Setup

An administrator creates an image custom field and adds it to the relevant Page Layouts. Images can then be added to records through that field.

To create an image custom field:

1. Go to System Settings > Objects and Fields.
2. Select an object.
3. Go to Object Fields.
4. Click New Field.
5. Select the Image field type.
6. Click Next.
7. Fill out the required fields.
8. Click Save Custom Field.

A confirmation message appears once the field is created.

Adding an image to a record

Once the field has been added to your Page Layout, you can start adding images to your records.

To add an image:

1. Click the Pencil icon in the upper right corner of your record.
2. Locate your image field and click Browse.
3. Select an image from your files.
4. Click Save.

Images must be PNG, JPG, or JPEG.
