Copying an Organization's address to a Contact

Push an organization’s address and phone details onto the contacts linked to it.

How to do it

Use Bulk Editing to copy an organization’s addresses and phone numbers to the contacts linked to it, rather than re-entering them per contact. This copies the information into empty address and phone number fields only, so existing contact information will not be overwritten.

1. Go to the Contacts tab.
2. Tick the check boxes next to the contacts you’ll be updating.
3. Click the Bulk Edit icon.
4. Choose Copy Phone Numbers from default linked Organization to Contact or Copy Addresses from default linked Organization to Contact.
5. Click Save Bulk Edits.

Contacts with no addresses or phone numbers will be updated with their related organizations’ information. Existing contact information will not be overwritten.

Multiple organizations

When a contact has multiple organizations attached, Insightly automatically chooses the information from your default organization. If there is no default organization filled in, the oldest linked organization is used.

Creating or editing a contact

When you are creating or editing a contact, you also have the option to copy the phone and address details from the linked organization.
