Before you create an account
A few decisions are easier made before signup than after, particularly whether you’re creating a standard account or a Google Workspace one.
Signing up and logging in
Standard signup and login, plus password reset and change. The Help Center has its own separate login.
Signing in with Microsoft or Google: click Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Google on the login page instead of entering an email and password. You’re redirected to sign in with that provider; if you have access to more than one Insightly instance, you’ll be prompted to choose which one to log into.
Google Workspace accounts
Google Workspace accounts differ from standard accounts in setup and login. Four situations have their own documentation:
- Setting up a Google Workspace Insightly account.
- How a Google Workspace account differs from a standard one.
- Logging back in from Google Workspace.
- Unlinking your account from Google Workspace.
Changing your Google Workspace domain
Google doesn’t carry connections to external applications like Insightly over to a new domain, and Insightly doesn’t support multiple domains on one account. That leaves two options after a domain change:
- Add the new domain to Google Workspace and keep using the existing Insightly account with the old domain’s logins and email addresses.
- Export your records from the old Insightly account and import them into a new one under the new domain.
If you’re on a paid subscription, you can delete the old account to stop billing on it once you’ve moved. Support can transfer the remaining balance to the new subscription when you upgrade it.
