How to use Web to Ticket Webforms
Updated
Web to Ticket generates an HTML form you place on your own website. When a visitor submits it, Insightly Service creates a ticket from their answers.

How it works
You build the form in Insightly, copy the generated HTML, and paste it onto your web page. Submissions come back as tickets containing whatever the visitor entered.
Three fields are required on every Web to Ticket form: Email Address, Subject, and Description.
Creating a webform
- Go to System Settings > Web to Ticket.
- Check Enable “Web to Ticket”.
- Click the Create HTML for your website link to open the form builder.
- Select the fields you want from the dropdown. Drag the handle icon beside a field name to reorder.
- Copy the generated HTML and paste it into your site. You can customize the markup afterward, for example to make a field required.
- Close the builder with the X in the top right. Changes save automatically.
- Under Form Submission Behavior, choose where visitors land after submitting: your own custom page, or Insightly’s default thank you page (which can’t be customized).
- Optionally add Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam. Register your site with reCAPTCHA, then paste the public and secret keys into the fields at the bottom of the page.
- Click Save.
Hiding fields
You can create multiple webforms with different field configurations, which is how you present different forms in different places on your site.
