Unsubscribe Page
Where Prospects land when they click the unsubscribe link in one of your emails, and how to customize what they see.
On this page:
How it works
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it takes the Prospect to your unsubscribe page, and completing the action takes them to an unsubscribe success page. Unsubscribing removes them from the list that sent the campaign. On an unsubscribe page you have not customized, recipients also see a manage preferences option, where they can opt out of all future emails rather than only that one list.
ℹ️ To resubscribe someone who asks to be re-added, remove them from the static list first, then add them back. Adding them without removing them first does not restore their subscription.
Customizing the page
Go to System Settings > Feature Settings > Unsubscribe Page, then use the Designer Tool to change the design and message.
⚠️ One page serves every Prospect. Each account instance has exactly one unsubscribe page and one success page, so write them to work for anyone who might see them rather than for a specific campaign or audience.
⚠️ Customizing this page disables list management. A customized unsubscribe page removes the “click here” link that takes Prospects to the List Management Page, where they could choose individual lists instead of unsubscribing entirely. Restoring that route currently requires resetting the page to default.
Two ways to check your work before publishing: Preview shows the page within the Designer itself, and Test in Browser opens it in a new tab, available both while designing and from preview mode. Click Save Design once you’re happy with it.
ℹ️ Reset to Default only affects the page you’re currently viewing. If you reset the unsubscribe page, the unsubscribe success page keeps whatever changes it already has, and vice versa. Each page resets independently.
