How to use Insightly's Zapier integration
Zapier connects Insightly to other apps without code, automating repetitive work like creating records, assigning tasks, and generating calendar events.
How it works
A Zap is a blueprint for a task you want to run automatically. You connect two or more apps and define what happens between them, without writing code. Zaps are built from triggers, actions, and searches.
⚠️ In Marketing, Prospects is the only available object. The Zapier integration supports any CRM object and custom objects, but on the Marketing side it reaches Prospects only.
The integration can also be used with Insightly’s API v3 where needed.
Triggers, actions, and searches
Zaps are built from three kinds of steps:
- Triggers start a Zap: New Record, Updated Record, Updated Field, and Deleted Record.
- Actions make something happen: Create Record, Update Record, and Find Record.
- Searches look something up: Find Object.
Creating a Zap
In Zapier, create a new Zap and choose Insightly as the trigger or action app. Connect your account using your Insightly API key and API URL, both found under User Settings. Pick the trigger that should start the Zap, then add the Insightly or third-party actions and searches that follow.
⚠️ Limits. A single Zap can run up to 100 actions, and an account can have up to 50 webhooks in total across all Zaps.
